Terms of Service

1. What Eli is

Eli is an AI, not a person. Eli is an emotional support companion — not a therapist, doctor, or a substitute for professional care. Eli does not provide medical, psychological, or clinical services, does not diagnose any condition, and does not give medication or medical advice. Eli's replies are written by artificial intelligence and can be wrong, so please do not treat them as advice. By using the service, you understand and accept this.

2. Not for emergencies

The service is not for crises or emergencies. If you may be in danger or thinking of harming yourself or others, contact emergency services or a helpline immediately — see our crisis help page.

3. Eligibility — 18+ only

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the service, and we ask you to confirm that before you begin. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

4. Sessions & payments

Your first session is free: 15 minutes, by text. Voice sessions are always paid. Each paid session is ₹499 for text or ₹699 for voice in India, payable in INR. From Europe the same sessions are €9.99 or €19.99, payable in EUR; from the United Kingdom £8.99 or £17.99, payable in GBP; and from anywhere else $9.99 or $19.99, payable in USD. European and UK prices include VAT. Which applies is determined by where you are when you pay, and the price and currency are always shown to you before you pay — we charge what is shown and nothing else. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices may change with notice. Monthly plans are covered in section 5. Refunds and cancellations are handled per our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Monthly plans (outside India)

Outside India, Eli is also offered as a monthly plan. Which plans you can choose, and the currency, depend on where you are when you subscribe; plans are not offered in India.

  • Companion — typing sessions: $19.99 · €19.99 · £17.99 a month.
  • Weekly — 4 voice sessions a month, plus typing sessions: $49.99 · €49.99 · £44.99 a month.
  • Twice a week — 8 voice sessions a month, plus typing sessions: $89.99 · €89.99 · £79.99 a month.

Prices are in US dollars, except in euros from Europe and pounds from the UK; European and UK prices include VAT.

What a plan includes. Typing sessions whenever you like, up to 31 sessions a month in all — one a day. Voice sessions, where a plan includes them, are up to 40 minutes each; voice sessions you don't use in a month do not carry over to the next.

Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically every month, on the day of the month you first subscribed, and the card you subscribed with is charged the price you agreed to — until you cancel. Before you pay, we ask you to agree to this separately, and we email you a confirmation afterwards.

Price changes. If the price of your plan ever changes, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

Cancelling. Cancel any time with one tap on your account page, or by writing to us. Your plan stays open until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are never charged again. If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it over the next few days and your plan stays open meanwhile; if it still fails, the plan stops until you subscribe again.

In Europe and the UK you can also withdraw within 14 days of subscribing, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Please use Eli respectfully and for its intended purpose — emotional support. Do not use it for unlawful purposes, and understand that Eli will not engage in romantic or sexual content, or assist with anything harmful.

7. Your words and our software

What you write or say to Eli is yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run Eli for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not train AI on it. You may keep and use what Eli writes for yourself; it is generated by AI, so we do not promise it is accurate or original. The Eli software, name, logo and design belong to Soul in Motion Private Limited and may not be copied or resold.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Eli and delete your account whenever you like, from the Privacy page. Deleting ends any monthly plan. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse a session, if someone seriously breaks these Terms, uses Eli to harm other people, misuses payments, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you why, and you can write to us to ask us to look again. If we end a paid session or plan because of something on our side, we refund what you paid for the time you did not get.

9. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: we don't read your sessions, your data is encrypted, and you can delete it anytime.

10. No guarantees; limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. While we care deeply about quality and safety, we do not guarantee any particular outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim (if any). Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have by law where you live, or a liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first; most problems are settled that way. If that does not work, the courts at Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and the consumer rights that apply there still apply to you.

12. Changes, contact & complaints

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change applies and ask you to agree again.
